HOUSTON – Carriage Services, Inc. has announced it is partnering with Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes located in Long Island, New York.
Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes date back to 1924 when Thomas F. Dalton began serving the families of Floral Park, operating from a single facility. Tim Dalton and Beth Dalton-Costello, third-generation Daltons, entered the family business in 1977 and 1983 respectively and later transitioned into owners of the business. Under their leadership the business has grown to the surrounding communities and now serves over 900 client families annually through their five chapels.
“Consistent with its Strategic Acquisition Model and 10-year vision, Carriage has partnered with an elite business that has a top-quality reputation in one of our large strategic markets,” the company said in a prepared release.
"The partnership with Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes enhances our portfolio of businesses in the strategic market of Long Island and will accelerate the second five-year timeframe of our Good To Great Journey,” said Mel Payne, chairman and CEO of Carriage Services. “We are delighted to have continuity of Dalton Family involvement in the business and community with Beth staying on under a five-year employment agreement."
"Our priorities have always been to the families we serve,” said Beth Dalton-Costello. “It is vital to my cousin Tim and I that we listen to and fulfill the families' needs and requirements during their most difficult time. We feel it is a privilege to be chosen by a family and take the trust they place in us with profound seriousness. When it was time to ensure that the Dalton Funeral Homes and our philosophy of service would continue to be available to our communities, we sought out the Carriage family as the best possible partner we could choose."
