CHICAGO - Then and Forever Tributes, which has introduced several revolutionary electronic devices for the Funeral Business this year, has just brought out a new Digital Guestbook System that works both onsite at the chapel and online via email, according to a news release.
Unlike other electronic registry systems, the new system can even combine modes — recording the names of guests while they make their visit and, if desired, adding their thoughts or sentiments at a later time by email — and then seamlessly combining both into one guestbook entry, the release noted.
The compact, tablet-size device has a full-size keyboard for ease of entry and but can be located anywhere within the establishment where desired.
Then & Forever’s Digital Guestbook System produces a full-size bound guestbook with high quality cover and page stock. A photo of the loved one can be printed onto the cover, which is available in a choice of colors. A rich keepsake cover with a metal name plate is offered as a low-cost option.
The device also produces thank you notes which the family may select from a choice of design and internal message options— including blank notes for the family’s most personal responses. Pre-addressed envelopes with the names of all registrants are also provided.
According to Tara Soderstrom, Then & Forever’s marketing director, the tablet-size Digital Guestbook System is being offered for the introductory price of $895, excluding nominal shipping costs and sales taxes where applicable. The guestbook, 150 thank you notes and pre-addressed envelopes are priced at $150 per funeral. Additional guestbook, keepsake covers and added sets of thank you notes and envelopes are also available.
In past several months, Then & Forever has introduced two other popular, innovative products now being used by funeral directors across the country: the Video Condolence System, which records messages of condolence from funeral guests and preserves them on DVD for the family, and the combination Condolence/Registry system which adds complete Guestbook and Thank You Card production capability to the Video Condolence touchscreen unit.
