MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Scott Newton has been named president of Graystone Associates, replacing founder Frank Sessions who retired earlier this year, according to a news release.
Since joining the firm in 2003, Newton has been instrumental in developing Graystone's unique measurement tools as well as providing insightful analysis of future consumer trends. In his new role, Newton will continue to manage clients and monitor client research. Additionally, he will lead the new client development for the company.
Senior partner Mark Groeneman was named secretary. He will continue to guide Graystone’s professional trainer group and training curriculum development, while managing his own client base. Groeneman, who joined Graystone in 2005, oversees the company's home office operations.
Bill McQueen, Graystone’s most recent senior partner, was named treasurer. of Graystone. An experienced funeral home operator, McQueen provides guidance and training to clients with his industry-leading forward thinking approaches and seasoned operations experience. McQueen was most recently quoted in Jason Jennings best-selling book, “The Reinventors: How Extraordinary Companies Pursue Radical Continuous Change.”
Sessions founded Graystone Associates in 2002. His innovative thinking and drive to succeed helped to develop Graystone Associates into one of the leading management and training companies in the funeral industry. Sessions' retirement plans include traveling and spending quality time with his family.
