CHICAGO – The Cremation Association of North America recently traveled to Pittsburgh to obtain an in-depth interview from Dr. Cyril H. Wecht, M.D., J.D., and one of this country’s most recognizable forensic pathologists, according to a news release. Dr. Wecht will be the keynote speaker at the association's 92nd annual convention, to be held Aug. 4-7, 2010, in Honolulu.
Mike Nicodemus, a CANA board member, has known Dr. Wecht for over thirty years and is still amazed at his knowledge of some of the most high profile deaths during the past four decades.
“Dr. Wecht has been involved in the deaths of JFK, Robert Kennedy, Elvis Presley, Lacy Peterson, Jon Benet Ramsey and Anna Nicole and Daniel Smith to name a few," Nicodemus said. "To hear what he has to say about JFK and Jon Benet is chilling. If you know, or ever knew, a person that keeps you hanging on their every word, well, that describes Dr. Wecht. He is a brilliant and gracious man who has agreed to attend the cocktail reception and answer any questions the attendees may have after his presentation."
Nicodemus also stated that clips from Dr. Wecht’s interview will be posted on the CANA Web site and its Facebook page in the near future.
The 92nd annual CANA convention will be held at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel in Honolulu. For more information, call CANA at 312-245-1077 or visit www.cremationassociation.org.
